This year’s Sweethearts Program is honored to have 40 Sophomore High School ladies and is designed to introduce them to community service and the importance of learning about the prevalence and prevention of cardiovascular disease. The participants learn the importance community service by participating in a series of planned activities, fundraising to support the research for heart disease and acquiring volunteer hours. They will also be trained in CPR Anytime and learn other very important heart health related information. The Sweethearts Program runs from August through May and the participants are highlighted during the Heart Ball in May.
